MIRAFLORES WINERY
Our philosophy is very traditional
– in order to produce great wines we need the best possible
grapes. Therefore, we have concentrated tremendous efforts in
the development and management of the vineyards. The vines are
meticulously tended – we believe in crop thinning, hand-picking,
hand-sorting, foot stomping and other labor-intensive activities.
Observing the maturation
of the clusters allows us to harvest our grapes under ideal
conditions. When the fruit enters our cellar, it follows a natural
process of fermentation with limited interventions. A true minimalist
approach which allows the grapes to express their unique characteristics
is paramount to our philosophy. Our credo – allow the
terroir to express itself.
After fermentation, our wine
is blended in a way that expresses the natural qualities of
the fruit, not forced into a style of preconceived notions.
At Miraflores Winery, we
strive to emulate the old world tradition of crafting memorable
wines, while also indulging the senses with gracious and welcoming
surroundings.
Architecture, gardens,
friendships and tradition contribute to a special sense of place.
The wines and the place give us deep satisfaction that our dedication
